There was a time not too long ago, when you were likely to find me at the end of each day kicking off my heels and running down the clock barefoot. There'd come a time in the evening,  whether enjoying a cocktail or the company of friends, when the shoes I had worn all day came off ... and usually did not come back on.

Now it's been more than a year since I started the Kellee Dee Collection, and I still kick off my shoes after a long day's work. Only now, i don't run around the dance floor in my bare feet: I'm wearing my Kellee Dee Flats-O'lution, and life - or at least my feet - is so much better.

If necessity is the mother of invention, then pain is the mother of inspiration. How often did I think through all those years of pinched toes and travel and day-to-day business, "There has got to be a better way!" Our whole product line wins praise for our smart designs, and the compliment I get most often is "Your products are so well thought out!" So, I have to say, all those years of running my stockings, stepping in mysterious puddles, scraping up my soles on sticks and stones has resulted in LOT of thought for solutions to my problems.

Today, as always, I'm traveling all across the country, and the problems I face from city to city and airport to airport have inspired some terrific additions to the collection, which we'll see in the upcoming months. I'm especially excited about our travel outerwear, which promises to be stylish, affordable, and very, very necessary.

Sometimes, it's the littlest things that make the difference, so I promise to keep finding inspiration in the inconveniences of every day living, and soothing the every day pains with smart, stylish accessories.
